Yes, and it always will be for core certificate creation. We believe engineers shouldn't have to pay a monthly fee just to fill in a certificate digitally. As we expand with advanced features like bulk operations, booking systems, and a landlord portal, some of those may become premium to cover server hosting and ongoing maintenance costs. But creating, signing and sending individual certificates will remain free.
No. LedgerCert is entirely web-based. It works on any device with a browser: iPhone, Android, tablet, laptop or desktop. No app store, no downloads, no updates to manage. Just open your browser and log in.
Yes. Your data is stamped directly onto professional certificate PDF templates based on British Standards. Our templates are designed to include all mandatory fields per the relevant British Standards. We align to current standards including BS 5839-6, BS 5266-1, BS EN 1838, BS EN 50172 and BS 7671. The output follows the same structure as standard industry forms.
Yes. Landlords can use LedgerCert to create and store compliance certificates, set inspection reminders per property, and keep everything accessible in one place. A dedicated landlord portal with portfolio-wide compliance dashboards is on our roadmap.
We currently support 18 certificate types across Domestic Fire Alarm, Emergency Lighting, Electrical (including EICR and EIC), EV Charging, and Fire Safety categories. This includes design, installation, commissioning, modification, and inspection certificates. With more on the roadmap including PAT Testing and Smoke & CO Alarm certificates. You can also request a certificate type and we'll prioritise it.
Yes. All data is encrypted and stored securely on Cloudflare's global infrastructure. Signatures are held in isolated secure storage. We never share your data with third parties, and you can delete your account and all associated data at any time.

We haven't set pricing yet, but we're committed to keeping it affordable. Premium features will only cover things that genuinely require additional server resources and ongoing maintenance, like bulk PDF generation, automated booking systems, or multi-user landlord portals. Core certificate creation will always be free.
